Resource Instructors train dealership technicians at predetermined locations, setup by the customer organization. 


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:  (Other duties may be assigned.)


 


·         Provides customer specific training to dealership technicians in the following areas:


- Late Model Electronics                            - Powertrain


- OEM Scan Tools                                       - Engine


- Passive Restraint System                       - Auto / Manual Transmission


- Pre-Delivery Inspection                            - Steering / Suspension


- Basic Electrical                                          - Engine Performance


- Basic Fuel Injection                                   - A/C


- Anti-lock Brakes and other areas as expertise grows


·         Manage Training Schedule


·         Instructor will be deployed as required to train dealership technicians within the regional boundaries set forth.  Instructor typically reports to assigned zone or regional training centers on Monday morning.  There they gather necessary course materials and travel by car to a training location.  They train in one location for the week and return home Friday, after class. 


·         Work independently with limited input from supervisor.


 


ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS


·         Expense reporting, student surveys and manage travel arrangements.


 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (when applicable):

QUALIFICATIONS:


Current technical knowledge is a must.  Diagnosis and testing experience is necessary.  Minimum of five years as a progressive automotive technician preferred or technical service experience.  ASE certified is recommended.  Ability to communicate technical information.  Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.  Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and presentation skills are required.  Computer experience helpful.
